1- Kerbala… The workers of health sector held sit-in protest, after their strike last week. The workers held the strike calling for raising their salaries, to reform the system of wages, and to repay those eligible for infection allowance.

The council of workers in Kerbala hospital led the demonstration and the sit in protest.

A delegation of the health sector committee, of the Federation of Workers’ Councils and Unions- Kerbala branch, have met the authorities eventually, calling for carrying out the demands of the workers, headed by Sa'ad Abed – Alkadhem the head of Kerbalaa branch of FWCUI.



2- Nasiriya… The health sector workers held a strike four times in one month, calling for raising their salaries and repaying the infection allowances. The committee of the health sector workers in Nasiriya distributed copies of the statement of the FWCUI, that includes the demands of the workers.

The workers held a sit-in protest for masses of workers. One of the leaders of the council of health sector- Jasim Mohamed spoke to the workers calling them to unify their position towards realizing their demands.

Many provinces in Iraq had witnessed strikes of the health sector workers, calling for raising the salaries and repay the infection allowances that stopped/discontinued after the occupation immediately.



3- Spread out … The strikes in the health sector have expanded to many provinces in Iraq such as Baghdad, Kerbalaa, Umara, Nasiriya, Kut and also Suleimania in Kurdistan.
